Shearer rejects Toon

Ex Newcastle legend Alan Shearer has rejected an approach from now permanant boss Joe Kinnear to work with the strikers. He is quoted saying he isn't ready for that job and Kinnear took it well. Kinnear is now looking to add some more coaching staff to the club after the magpies' boss informed us that "there is a possibility I might bring someone in on the coaching staff now."
Newcastle have done fairly well since the ex Wimbledon boss arrived and got a well earned point at Stamford Bridge last week. They have now drawn their second consecutive game goalless, this one against their rivals Middlesbrough, and currently sit just above Sunderland in 17th place.
